THE HOUR OF HIS JUDGMENT IS COME

 “The announcement, ‘The hour of His judgment is come,’ points to the closing work of Christ’s ministration for the salvation of men.”–The Great Controversy, p. 435.

KENAPA KITA HARUS LEBIH FEAR GOD SEKARANG DARIPADA KAPANPUN? 

Rev 14:7  Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. 

dan ia berseru dengan suara nyaring: "Takutlah akan Allah dan muliakanlah Dia, karena telah tiba saat penghakiman-Nya, dan sembahlah Dia yang telah menjadikan langit dan bumi dan laut dan semua mata air." 

2Co 5:10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 

Sebab kita semua harus menghadap takhta pengadilan Kristus, supaya setiap orang memperoleh apa yang patut diterimanya, sesuai dengan yang dilakukannya dalam hidupnya ini, baik ataupun jahat. 

“How solemn is the thought! Day after day, passing into eternity, bears its burden of records for the books of heaven. Words once spoken, deeds once done, can never be recalled. Angels have registered both the good and the evil. The mightiest conqueror upon the earth cannot call back the record of even a single day. Our acts, our words, even our most secret motives, all have their weight in deciding our destiny for weal or woe. Though they may be forgotten by us, they will bear their testimony to justify or condemn.”–The Great Controversy, pp. 486, 487.

Betapa khidmatnya pikiran itu! Hari demi hari, yang berlalu menuju kekekalan, membawa beban catatan-catatannya bagi kitab-kitab surga. Kata-kata yang pernah diucapkan, perbuatan yang pernah dilakukan, takkan pernah dapat ditarik kembali. Para malaikat telah mencatat kebaikan dan kejahatan. Penakluk terkuat di bumi tak dapat mengingat kembali catatan satu hari pun. Perbuatan kita, perkataan kita, bahkan motif kita yang paling rahasia, semuanya memiliki bobot dalam menentukan nasib kita, baik atau buruk. Meskipun mungkin kita lupakan, semuanya akan memberikan kesaksian untuk membenarkan atau menghukum.—The Great Controversy, hlm. 486, 487.

“All who would have their names retained in the book of life should now, in the few remaining days of their probation, afflict their souls before God by sorrow for sin and true repentance. There must be deep, faithful searching of heart.”–The Great Controversy, p. 490.

Semua orang yang ingin namanya tercatat dalam kitab kehidupan hendaknya sekarang, dalam beberapa hari terakhir masa percobaan mereka, merendahkan jiwa mereka di hadapan Allah dengan penyesalan atas dosa dan pertobatan sejati. Harus ada penyelidikan hati yang mendalam dan setia.—The Great Controversy, hlm. 490.

PENGHARAPAN KITA 

“While Jesus is pleading for the subjects of His grace, Satan accuses them before God as transgressors. The great deceiver has sought to lead them into skepticism, to cause them to lose confidence in God, to separate themselves from His love, and to break His law. Now he points to the record of their lives, to the defects of character, the unlikeness to Christ, which has dishonored their Redeemer, to all the sins that he has tempted them to commit, and because of these he claims them as his subjects.
Sementara Yesus memohon bagi mereka yang menerima kasih karunia-Nya, Setan menuduh mereka di hadapan Allah sebagai pelanggar hukum. Penipu ulung itu telah berusaha menuntun mereka ke dalam skeptisisme, membuat mereka kehilangan kepercayaan kepada Allah, memisahkan diri dari kasih-Nya, dan melanggar hukum-Nya. Kini ia menunjuk pada catatan kehidupan mereka, pada cacat karakter, ketidaksukaan mereka terhadap Kristus, yang telah mencemarkan nama baik Penebus mereka, pada semua dosa yang telah dicobainya untuk mereka lakukan, dan karena dosa-dosa inilah ia mengklaim mereka sebagai bawahannya.
“Jesus does not excuse their sins, but shows their penitence and faith, and, claiming for them forgiveness, He lifts His wounded hands before the Father and the holy angels, saying: I know them by name. I have graven them on the palms of My hands.”–The Great Controversy, p. 484.
Yesus tidak memaafkan dosa-dosa mereka, tetapi menunjukkan pertobatan dan iman mereka, dan, memohon pengampunan bagi mereka, Ia mengangkat tangan-Nya yang terluka di hadapan Bapa dan para malaikat kudus, seraya berkata: Aku mengenal mereka dengan nama-nama mereka. Aku telah mengukirnya di telapak tangan-Ku.—The Great Controversy, hlm. 484.

DUA KELOMPOK
