THE MEANING OF ROMANS 6:14
It's common for people to misinterpret Romans 6:14 thinking that living under grace means we don't need to follow God's law.
This view mistakenly suggests that sin has no influence over our lives anymore.
The beautiful truth is that Christ didn't abolish the law when he went to the cross. He fulfilled it. Through his incredible sacrifice, he took on the consequences of sin, death, showing us the true purpose of the law in the process.
Grace is often seen as a chance for sinners to remain unchanged after receiving forgiveness. But genuine grace is so much more.
It empowers us to strive for a life of righteousness rather than to continue in sin.
So let's embrace the true meaning of this passage. Sin does not have to control you because you are wonderfully empowered by God.
He gives you the tools to follow his law, freeing you from any condemnation you may have felt as a transgressor. How inspiring is that?
